It is with great pride that I am able to present East Kimberley Real Estate’s services to you as the new Agency Owner. Many Kununurra and Wyndham locals know my face from around town given I have now lived in Kununurra for
approximately 14 years after my three day visit turned somewhat more permanent.

Originally from Darwin I have a genuine love for the top end of Australia and in particular the East Kimberley Region. I enjoy the small town life of Kununurra and have been happily settled in my own home for many years with my fiancé, whom I met here.

Having “retired” from my original career as a chef some years ago, I have benefited from various employment opportunities within Kununurra. During this time I feel I have earned a generally high level of respect from members of the community - both on a social and working basis.

I started my career in the dynamic field of real estate assisting Andrea Fox, our current Licensee and the former Agency Owner with the set up of the business when the doors opened in 2006. Now having taken the opportunity to purchase the business with my partner, we have a genuine interest in continuing the company’s success and professional reputation well into the future.

Having been a Registered Sales Representative since early 2007 I have recently also obtained my Diploma in Property Services. Further I have had the benefit of learning from Andrea how to do real estate “properly and professionally” increasing my own skill base whilst learning from Andrea’s extensive sales and property management experience. During four years of full time employment as Office Manager for the agency I have been exposed to all facets of the real estate business including Property Management, Sales, Administration and staff management.

I have enjoyed the challenges this career path has provided me with whilst enabling me to assist people of my community with their housing needs. I am fully confident in my knowledge of marketing procedures and my ability to successfully implement advertising campaigns. I intend to continue as a very ‘hands on’ agency owner ensuring the business continues to run in a professional and ethical manner.

Our small staffing numbers enables me to oversee personally all aspects of not only sales but our property management services to ensure a dedicated service to you.

In conjunction with Andrea we have been able to secure excellent staff and feel the team I have now is not only a credit to East Kimberley Real Estate but to themselves and Kununurra. Our experienced team shares my enthusiasm and passion for the industry and together we form one of the fastest growing, market leaders of real estate in the local area.

Melissa Murphy

Mel recently relocated to Kununurra with her husband after residing in Broome for the past 11 years, for 7 years of which she was employed in Property Management before deciding to take a break and began working for a smaller local business.

Mel has had a niggling in the back of her mind for some time now to return to Real Estate and she joins East Kimberley Real Estate with great enthusiasm and vigour. Mel loves and enjoys the challenges and all aspects which the Real Estate industry provides and is excited to be part of the team she looks forward to providing all our clients with a second to none service.

Mel is already enjoying the Kununurra lifestyle which is much like Broome’s with a laid back atmosphere, great fishing and camping spots and wonderful people alike.
